A Living Sanctuary for Nature, People & Possibility
Sacred Space is eleven acres of rare, biodiverse coastal forest in the heart of Dar es Salaam. Home to ancient baobabs, this living sanctuary is a place to reclaim your peace, root yourself in nature, and discover more conscious ways of living.
More than a venue, it is a living movement where nature is protected, people reconnect and new possibilities can grow.
Protecting nature by reconnecting people with it.

“In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught.”
— Baba Dioum

Protecting
What Remains
Tanzania is celebrated worldwide for its extraordinary natural heritage and protected lands. Yet within our rapidly growing towns and cities, nature is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Dar es Salaam is one of Africa's fastest-growing cities, and as development expands, vital urban green spaces and wildlife habitats are steadily being lost.
Sacred Space exists to help change that story.
Within this coastal forest, a conscious choice has been made to protect what remains, restore what needs care and regenerate new possibilities.
When you spend time here, your presence supports something beyond the experience itself.
You become part of protecting something rare.
